Fadilah (Malika Fadilah) is a Moroccan artist living in France, whose painting language is most influenced by Impressionism. Her work captures ephemeral light changes, atmosphere and inner peace. She works with subtle colour gradients, soft modelling of shape and layered painting to evoke the mood of place and moment. Her paintings give the impression of painterly memories - subdued, intimate and sensitive. Fadilah sees Impressionism as a way to express a perception of the world where light, colour and emotion form an indivisible whole.
